Counseling on Mental Health

Question: Discuss about theCounseling on Mental Health. Answer: Introduction: The main message in the clip Enough Rope- Angels and Demons by Andrew Denton is that individuals suffering from mental disorders faces different struggles and experiences that are not common to the general public. Andrew tries to address how a psychotic patient feels after suffering mental illness and the process the patient undergoes until he fully recovers. (Denton, 2007). He starts the 2007 annual mental health conference which took place in Melbourne in Australia where he first meets different people who had previously suffered from mental illness. Dentons interviews were based on a round in-depth dialogue with individual of note mainly before the studio audience where he would first do a thorough research as preparation for the interview (Denton, 2007). Both the pre-class interviews and that of Andrew Denton included individuals and personalities that had extra ordinary life stories or those that held an interesting profession in the same field. The interviewees revealed some interesting stories about themselves that was not familiar to the audience. Just like Andrews show, the pre-class interview was also conducted in front of some audience guest. The pre- class interview also presented the feature of show and tell just the same way as Andrew Denton show provided. The pre- class interview was also well researched as it was organized in a way that it required to meet the expected standards. Andrew revisited interviews with individuals who are considered to be old in the society especially those who had different stories about their life. This can be equated to those interviewees who were interviewed in class. They too had different experiences. Bibliography Denton, A. (2007). The best of Enough rope.
